Bedtime Prayers

Bedtime PrayersThank God For The Blood
You were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ
1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV
The story of redemption begins in Eden with God shedding the blood of a lamb to cover Adam's and Eve's sin, and ends in heaven with a multi-national choir singing, '… You… have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every… nation' (Revelation 5:9 NKJV). The blood of Jesus Christ represents two things: 1)the cost of your sin. Rolled on to Christ's shoulders was the weight of your every misdeed from the cradle to the grave. Next time you're tempted to violate God's Word and do your own thing, bear that in mind! 2) the cure for your sin. Your salvation wasn't a joint effort. You didn't contribute a penny because you were spiritually bankrupt. '… you were redeemed [bought out of slavery and set free]… with the precious blood of Christ… ' (1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV).

The preaching of the blood will offend those with sins to hide, a moralistic ego to protect, or a gospel that offers salvation through good works and social evolution. The blood of Jesus not only saves the repentant but also condemns the defiant, for '… without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness' (Hebrews 9:22 NIV). Plagues and apocalyptic hail could not release God's people from the iron grip of Pharaoh. What did? The blood. Nothing but the blood! And the blood has never lost its power. It can a) heal your painful memories b)cleanse and set you free from the sin you dare not speak of c)put a canopy of protection over you, and d)draw a line in the sand over which the enemy dare not step. Today, thank God for the blood

Life is too short and too precious...

Life is too short and too precious...Psalm 118:24, "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Hi...

It's one life we have and it's too short too to be spent in fault finding, holding grudges, or keeping memories of wrong done to us.
We need to forgive before forgiveness is asked and Forgive and forget too!
Life is too precious to be wasted in unforgiveness and grudges.
God Bless you,

Life is too short and too precious...

Leave Your Case With God

Leave Your Case With GodLeave Your Case With God

ROMANS 12:19 NLT
19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the
righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, "I will take
revenge; I will pay them back," says the LORD.

When people do us wrong, not taking revenge is difficult. It
seems natural to fight back when someone attacks us.

But the Bible tells us to let God judge them.

This is not saying you should never defend yourself, or what
belongs to you. But do not seek revenge after you have been
wronged. Instead, let God handle it.

People who try to take revenge, usually end up committing more
injustice. Often a deadly cycle develops. Instead of taking
revenge, God's Word tells us to bless our enemies.

PROVERBS 25:21 NKJ
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is
thirsty, give him water to drink;

MATTHEW 5:44 NKJ
44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse
you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who
spitefully use you and persecute you,

God is aware of every injustice. And God promises to right
every wrong, eventually. God is a righteous judge, but all
judgment is not instant, or even in this life.

1 PETER 2:21,23 NLT
21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering,
just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you
must follow in his steps.
23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten
revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God,
who always judges fairly.

SAY THIS: I will not take revenge but trust God to bring
justice.

Light at the end of the tunnel of using!

I have found that when someone isn't ready this isn't any way shape or form that can change that? But, I am starting to see I guess the more they hear and maybe just maybe something will stick some where some how, some day! I knew when I was ready to stop, that's why I am confused why other's have hit rock bottom and they still don't stop? I guess they never knew anything could be better for them, they were so used to a bad life that they will settle for that. I know I didn't want to wait until I got to that point? I stopped before I got to homelessness, street living and bar hag's syndrome. I seen alot of other's hit to this point and continue this lifestyle beyond their mid life point. I wanted to make sure my son's wouldn't be ashamed of me and my family also. I just couldn't see myself dying of Cyrohsis or any other alcohol or drug related illness. I am so happy that I chose to stop when I did. I am actually found myself in a secure happy and enjoyable lifestyle, that I never knew myself. I made this life for myself, and I don't want to trade this for the other lifestyle no how, noway, not ever? I want to keep my good townhouse and my warm bed and waking daily at a resonable time and eating right and being healthy now. I'm not saying I'm the most exercised and healthy person out there, I have a long way to go? But, I will be there someday and I am finding happiness in little thing's such as friends.(sober one's) family, church and get togethers with friends. It's a very different life from drug's & alcohol every nite, drug dealing and up for day's at a time. I am so grateful to God for saving my life. I hope that I can convince other's. If not then that's not my problem, just as long as I have done my best at trying. I can't be sad for that fact. There is so much light at the end of the tunnel you have no idea. Just think about it and make this new life for yourself I DID. I couldn't be happier than I am right now. May I could, I will see, Debrinconcit.

Soar As Eagles

Soar As EaglesSoar As Eagles

"...But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired..." - Isaiah 40: 31

If we wait upon the Lord, He will renew our strength. We can spread our wings and soar high as eagles do. Though at times we can feel weary and faint, God strengthens us with His power, and He renews us. We don’t have to let our circumstances overwhelm us and keep us down unable to see beyond it. If we look up to God, committing our ways to Him and giving over our cares, we can rise up and soar above our circumstances. We then will be able to run and not be weary, and to walk and not faint or become tired.

If you are feeling exhausted and weary, and in need of an energy boost, give it over to God and continue to give it over. Allow Him to strengthen you so you can soar above it.

If you rise up and soar as eagles do
Your circumstances won’t overwhelm you

Stop Complaining And Start Gaining (1)

Stop Complaining And Start Gaining (1)Stop Complaining And Start Gaining (1)

Do everything without complaining
Philippians 2:14 NIV
Two groups of psychology students were wired for recording purposes, and assigned a period to socialise freely. One group knew the experiment would measure the level of complaining in normal conversation; the other group did not. Afterwards, both groups were shocked by how frequently they complained. The group in the know complained almost as much as the group unaware of what the experiment was aiming to achieve. It's the oldest response in the book - literally! Confronted with our choices and actions, we spontaneously start complaining: 'It was their fault, not mine; If they hadn't… I wouldn't have.' Adam needed no lessons in the art of complaining. Caught red-handed, he told God, '…The woman whom You gave… me, she gave me… and I ate." … the woman [Eve]… said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate" ' (Genesis 3:12-13 NAS). Neither accepted responsibility for their choices. And since God doesn't help people who won't be responsible, He threw the complainers out of Paradise. If they ever subsequently 'got it' regarding complaining, they didn't transmit it to their offspring, Israel: 'Now the people complained… in the hearing of the Lord… his anger was aroused. Then fire… consumed… the outskirts of the camp' (Numbers 11:1 NIV). Notice, all complaining is 'in the hearing of the Lord', and He clearly doesn't want to hear it! Paul writes, 'Do not complain as some of them did; they were killed by the angel that destroys. The things that happened to those people are examples… written down to teach us… ' (1 Corinthians 10:10-11 NCV). Clean up your verbal act! Decide to detect, reject and eject all complaining from your vocabulary.

Enough

Enough

Enough

Recently I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad.'

They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated.. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

'Yes, I have,' I replied.. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.

'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' he said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?'

He began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone..' He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting..

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good- bye.

He then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE....

To all my friends and loved ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH.
