Let's Pray

Let's Pray
Father, thank You that You are my strength and my joy at a time when I feel so weak, trapped in a pit of despair. By faith, I turn to You and seek Your forgiveness for the pride that blinds me to the hope I can find in You. Please help me to see Your hand at work in my life and even when I can't, give me the power to walk by faith and not by sight.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

SELF HEALING

Self healing

No doctor, no drug, no object has ever truly HEALED anyone. They can only assist if they act in harmony with the Laws of Nature.

Our mind body system is designed to HEAL ITSELF. All we need to do is to REMOVE OBSTACLES from the body and from the mind. This can be accomplished with or without the help of others.

If you cut your finger with a sharp object, the wound HEALS ITSELF and if the damage is not extensive, the repair job is SO perfect, that after a few weeks you cannot even remember which finger was hurt. Even the fingerprints are reconstructed.

Of course self-healing is not limited to scratches and bruises. Exactly the same self-healing processes occur ALL THE TIME in ALL POSSIBLE organs of the body.

Even if we abuse our body, it tries to heal itself, unless the damage is extensive and we continue doing mistakes for years. Severe illnesses are largely result of our complete ignorance on both: the physical level (diet, poisoning, lifestyle) as well as on the mental level (bad mental hygiene and discipline, wrong understanding of purpose of life). Pain and suffering are just signals to our conscious mind that we have to CHANGE our ways. When we do, in the right direction, we "miraculously" recover. When we follow the flock, and resist Nature, we suffer. This is the law of Nature.

The mind-body system has almost unlimited self repair capabilities, but most of people deny themselves any access to them.

The biggest mistake you can make is to ACCEPT someone's "advice" that your condition is incurable. If you accept such an advice, your fear effectively SABOTAGES the self-healing process, which is under complete control of your consciousness on all levels, including the subconscious functioning of your body and mind. Fear blocks any logic, dramatically reducing your own self healing ability.

There is NOTHING in the Universe to be afraid of, except our own ignorance and its consequences. Unfortunately most people doubt everyone and everything, except their own ignorance.

The idea of "incurable" or "chronic" condition comes simply from limited understanding of healing processes and/or arrogant attitude of people who claim to be "health" authorities but have never seen a true recovery.

Note, that people (and industries) who give "health advice" usually benefit from the fact that we are sick, and if we were healthy they would go BROKE.

What is Christianity

The central message of Christianity is that Jesus Christ is God the Son who came to earth to rescue sinners not only from a life of sin but also from eternal damnation in hell. Christians believe that the 66 books of the Bible comprise the error-free Word of God and as such, they read it, love its truth, come to know God more deeply by it, and live by its counsel.

The Bible teaches that the only way to know God and enjoy a right relationship with Him is through faith in Christ. Faith assumes that one turns away from his sin and submits to Jesus Christ as the ruler of every aspect of his life, calling Jesus "Lord," a synonym in that context for God (see Romans 10:9-10). Merely nodding the head and giving intellectual assent to truths about God is what characterizes demons, not the children of God (James 2:19).

PRAYER FOR RENEWAL

Prayer for Renewal

Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

GOD WORK'S IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS!!!

If we put God and His work first, He will satisfy our deepest needs.

Although God is all-powerful and all-knowing, He has chosen to let us help Him change the world through our prayers, if we will.

CALLER ID AND GOD

On a Saturday night several weeks ago, this pastor was working late, and decided to call his wife before he left for home. It was about 10:00 pm, but his wife didn't answer the phone. The pastor let the phone ring many times. He thought it was odd that she didn't answer, but decided to wrap up a few things and try again in a few minutes. When he tried again she answered right away. He asked her why she hadn't answered before, and she said that it hadn't rung at their house. They brushed it off as a fluke and went on their merry ways. The following Monday, the pastor received a call at the church office, which was the phone that he'd used that Saturday night. The man that he spoke with wanted to know why he'd called on Saturday night. The pastor couldn't figure out what the man was talking about. Then the man said, "It rang and rang, but I didn't answer." The pastor remembered the mishap and apologized for disturbing him, explaining that he'd intended to call his wife. The man said, "That's, OK. Let me tell you my story. You see, I was planning to commit suicide on Saturday night, but before I did, I prayed, 'God if you're there, and you don't want me to do this, give me a sign now.' At that point my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID, and it said, 'Almighty God'. I was afraid to answer!" The reason why it showed on the man's caller ID that the call came from "Almighty God" is because the church that the pastor attends is called Almighty God Tabernacle!

12 STEP PRAYERS

12 Step Prayers

FIRST STEP: Dear God, I admit that I am powerless over my addiction. I admit that my life is unmanageable when I try to control it. Help me to understand the true meaning of powerlessness, Remove me from all denial of my addiction.

SECOND STEP: Heavenly Father, I know in my heart that only You can restore me to sanity. I humbly ask that You remove all twisted thought and addictive behavior from me this day. Heal my spirit and restore in me a clear mind.

THIRD STEP: God, I offer myself to Thee, to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy love and Thy way of life. May I do Thy Will always.

FORTH STEP: Dear God, It is I who has made my life a mess, have done it, but I cannot undo it. My mistakes are mine and I will begin a searching and fearless moral inventory. I will write down my wrongs. But I will also include that which is good. I pray for the strength to complete this task.

FIFTH STEP: Higher Power, My inventory has shown me who I am, yet I ask for Your help in admitting my wrongs to another person and to You. Assure me and be with me, in this step, for without this step, I cannot progress in my recovery. With Your help, I can do this and I will do it.

SIXTH STEP: Dear God, I am ready for Your help in removing from me the defects of character which I now realize are an obstacle to my recovery. Help me to continue being honest with myself and guide me towards mental and spiritual health.

SEVENTH STEP: My Creator, I am now willing that You have all of me, good and bad. I pray that You now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to You. Grant me strength, as I go out from here to do Your bidding.

EIGHTH STEP: Higher Power, I ask Your help in making my list of all those I have harmed. I will take responsibility for my mistakes and be forgiving to others as You are forgiving to me. Grant me the willingness to begin my restitution. This I pray.

NINTH STEP: Higher Power, I pray for the right attitude to make my amends, being ever mindful not to harm others in the process. I ask for your guidance in making indirect amends by staying abstinent, helping others and growing in my spiritual progress.

TENTH STEP: Dear God, I pray that I may continue to grow in understanding and effectiveness; to take daily spot check inventories of myself; to correct mistakes when I make them; to take responsibility for my actions; to be ever aware of my negative and self-defeating attitude and behaviors; to keep my willfulness in check; to always remember I need Your help; to keep love and tolerance of others as my code; and to continue in daily prayer how I can best serve you.

ELEVENTH STEP: God, as I understand You I pray to keep my connection with You. Open and clear from me the confusion of daily life. Through my prayers and meditations I ask especially for freedom from self-will, rationalization, and wishful thinking. I pray for the guidance of correct thought and positive action. Your will not mine be done.

TWELFTH STEP: Dear God, My spiritual awakening continues to unfold. The help I have received I shall pass on and give to others, both in and out of the fellowship. For this opportunity I am grateful. I pray most humbly to continue walking day by day on the road of spiritual progress. I pray for inner strength and wisdom to practice the principles of this way of life in all I do and say. I need You, my friends, and the Program every hour of every day. This is a better way to live.

Self Pity in AA.

A Reading on
"Self-Pity"

Self-pity is a very dangerous emotion. Self-pity blocks reality ... it puts up walls so we cannot get positive messages ... so we cannot even hear our Higher Power.

Self-pity brings us down to the far depths of despair and depression and neither of these are good companions.
When we think that we deserve to feel sorry for ourselves, and especially when we want others to feel sorry for us, we are indulging in negative thinking.

Self-pity leads us back to immaturity and irresponsibility, to wanting to feel better at any price, to the danger of returning to our addictions, compulsions and obsessions. Self-pity can lead us back to dis-ease.

Today I refuse to allow the magnetic tape of self-pity
to trap me. Today I avoid negative thinking
and replace it as soon as I notice it is present in me.

NO TIME

No Time

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time to die.

I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in His hands God held a book;
It was the Book of Life.

God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down . . .
But never found the time

Gulf oil spill threatens Native American tribe's livelihood ... - Care2 News Network

Link This is irreversable destruction that cannot be remedied by BP. The Land & the animals and waterway's they damaged are beyond repair. ONLY time will tell if they will ever be the same? EVEN if they did do the largest cleanup job ever, it still wouldn't reverse any of the dead fish and animals. the oceans, rivers, and the plants forever.
